Be Thankful

To be thankful is to be aware or appreciative of a benefit, along with expressing gratitude. Every now and then it seems easier to center our attention on what we don’t have, rather than what we do have. It’s imperative to take the time out and look back on all the things we should be thankful for, that too many of us take for granted. This Wisdom Wednesday is a REMINDER, so it only makes sense for us to all take time out of our day and truly think about what we are thankful for, this day and everyday. Don’t just think about what makes you happy, think of how you can show your appreciation. There are people who do things for you everyday. Friends, family, co-workers and loved ones are expected to do their part in lending a hand in your success. Honestly do they know how much you appreciate them? If you are thinking maybe not, let’s look at a few ways we can all show our appreciation and thankfulness to others.

Success deserves celebration. It always feels good to be recognized; if a friend or colleague does a favor or something that helps your day run smoother, celebrate it. Grab lunch for them, pick up a simple card or anything else that could give that person the boost they gave you. Be genuine and be specific on what you are celebrating.

Appreciation creates respect. Showing interest in others by noticing the great work they have done draws people closer together. Send a handmade card for a job well done, show you took the time out of your day to thank them. Many people don’t take time for the simplest acts of kindness.

Free Currency- Friends, co-workers and family will do more for recognition than they will for money. We all work harder when we know we will be recognized for our accomplishments. By showing you care, people become loyal to you.

Think of the impact made on you when someone recognizes your VALUE. Now pay it forward to someone else. Showing thankfulness creates a lasting impact. This is what you must do if you want to go from accomplishing ordinary things to extraordinary things. All from showing appreciation for what people around do on a regular basis, and thanking them for the results.
