Child Like Ambitions

When I was a child, I could NOT wait to grow up. Now that I’m an adult, I tend to daydream of being a kid again. Funny how, when we get older we begin to associate childishness with negativity: Goofiness, Selfishness, impatience, etc. The process of life and growing up eliminates these traits out of us, but at the same time we lose key childlike behaviors we should never lose: curiosity, trust, excitement, playfulness, innocence, and creativity etc.

Now growing up does give us the chance to take full responsibility of our life enjoyments and actions. Becoming a mature adult gives you the confidence to handle any obstacles life puts in our way to success. Our maturity helps society. But what about those who are letting adulthood suck the life out of them? You must find your inner child again. This is a soul searching “amber alert” within YOURSELF. Don’t let your inner child drown in your adult sorrows, trust me YOU and the WORLD needs their inner child to come to surface.

Below I have 5 ways to bring your inner child back to surface.

Childish curiosity- “Curiosity creates genius.” Wade Townsend II Become aware of the world around you, Study it get to know it.  Learn how to gain knowledge, research, grow etc. Curiosity is a virtue, be like children.

Get excited- like a child over the ability to change yourself and develop into whoever you want to become.

Faith- Have faith like a child, we as adults are too skeptical. As a kid we all had unrealistic faith in ourselves. Bring this virtue back, you still can be great, you still can do anything you manifest. Just believe and have the faith in yourself and your beliefs. I’d rather die with my beliefs attempting to share my words with you and the world. Then to hold it in and NOT believe you’re reading and attempt to be the change I want to see in the world.

Explore- Kids love to explore and so should you. Get out of the house, read a book, explore different movie and music genres. Try new food; create a list of sites to explore in your city.

Play time- This is my favorite, I love to let loose. I’ve researched that playing can be a helpful therapy for stress. Figure out what play is to you and create time for it. I actively play pickup games, or playtime with my dogs.
