Each new day presents us with an opportunity to become a better person. A person looking to create a new future. There is too many of us who live defined by the choices we made in the past. This can hurt our future and slow down progress. We can be come stagnant.

With that being said we also cannot choose to simply forget the past. Doing this will cause us to miss out on its fullest potential. There are valuable lessons to be learned from our personal history. When we choose to probe and ask the right questions about our past we are preparing to live life to the fullest in the present. Below I’ve created 3 Reasons To Learn From The Past.

Make Past Weaknesses Your Future Strength: We all have weaknesses I get it. Mostly stemming from personality and competence. Never leave these attribute flaws unaddressed. These can limit our potential for impact and significance. Find them and learn recognize them. Work out the chinks in your armor to overcome them by seeking the help of others.

Find New Relationships That Inspire Us: Over the course of our lives, there are a number of people who have inspired us. Figure out what traits they have in common and try to surround yourself with more people like them. The company we keep can bring us inspiration or ruin our progress. Learn from the past and avoid the toxic relationships.

Dump The Old Habits And Find Some That Invigorate Us: We experiment with new habits daily some work, some don’t. Over the course of our lives, we install a variety of disciplines to make the most of our time here on this planet. These new disciplines either become habits or they slip out mind instantly. Take a Look back. Acknowledge the habits that brought energy, health, and invigoration into your life. Then embrace them again.
