How many people have you inspired today?

Have you even tried? Why should you try?

The world revolves around us. We are all here for a reason; we have a responsibility to take care and create our world we live in. By create, I mean that we can either build better communities for ourselves or end up with an underworld of terror.

It is all up to YOU and ME. I know what you are thinking, “I’m just ONE person, my small contribution won’t mean much.” I would be willing to bet that this statement here is undoubtedly the thought of about 50% of the world’s population, at the very least. It is however an untrue statement.

Consider many of the world’s prominent people, past and present. Mother Teresa, Helen Keller, John F. Kennedy, Abraham Lincoln, Martin Luther King Jr., Nelson Mandela, Queen Elizabeth, Ghandi, and President Barack Obama; the list goes on. Imagine if these people had the mindset of “My opinion and efforts don’t mean much,” or “I can’t change anything.” If it weren’t for the changes this group of people envisioned and inspired the world to make, many of us reading this article would not be here today. We must “Be the change we want to see in the world.” – Ghandi.

As humans, we are the cornerstone to the earth’s positivity and wellbeing. We must lead, drive and inspire each other to become better people. It’s not simple, but it’s not complicated either, with effort and focus. We all need to try to inspire one another, every day. Below I have 5 ways to inspire people around you and pay it forward.

5 ways to inspire others:

1. Positivity 24/7- This is the FOCUS of inspiration; if you cannot remain positive in a tough situation, you are not ready to lead or inspire anyone. Positivity is infectious and can spread around the room as fast as the common cold. So remain positive because someone is counting on you to GET THROUGH IT, when they are down and feeling the struggle.

2. Lean on me- Offering assistance and letting someone lean on you when they are unable to push through something, is a great way to inspire others. The feeling of knowing that someone is on their side will be huge relief. It is similar to giving someone a jump-start when his or her car battery dies.

3. Remain Approachable- Always be approachable with open invitations for people to ask you for help or guidance. Welcome others and remain personable. Do not forget to leave the door open to those around you.

4.Become a person of VALUE- Adding value to people’s lives, makes you valuable. With gems for quotes and a creative way to deliver them, work on yourself so much that you can help others at the drop of a dime. To have a lasting valuable impact, your words have to stick when you speak to people. Be able to make a memorable impression on the people you come in contact with.

5. Certified Communicator- Be a communicator, effectively and efficiently. This is critical when it comes to inspiring others; your words are powerful. Take the time to invest in your communication skills daily.
