3 Ways To Keep Educating Yourself

Wade Townsend Blog Post

When I first made the commitment to create my website I made a decision. One that meant committing myself to constantly pursue knowledge. I’ve always been a bit of a nerd, so this came pretty natural. With that being said I came to the realization that if this was going to become a priority of mine or anyone else’s – we would have to make this a daily or weekly habit.

Below is a short list of suggestions and small practices that could potentially change our habits, when it comes to gaining knowledge as often and consistent as possible. These should be planted into our lifestyles. No these things will not get done everyday. Recommend just choosing a few and learning in a variety of different ways. It will seem to be a bit much but after the habit is created, gaining knowledge never felt so easy. Focus On Your Focus and learn something new everyday.

1. Dictionary App Word of the day: Use this to learn a new word everyday. Many dictionary apps have this feature. Make it your duty to try to make use of the word of the day in your random conversations throughout the next 24 hours.

2. 15-20 Reading Minutes A Day: I get it the day seems short everyday. 24 hours feels like 18 hours. This habit can really jumpstart anyone reading again. If you struggle to get this time in to read, try going to bed 20 minutes earlier and reading then. At this pace one could finish a book every few weeks.

3. Informational Podcast: Seek out anything you want to learn about and I am more than 100% positive it is a podcast out there on it. If not you should probably create one. Once you find that podcast, you can make your car your mobile classroom. This will help kill time on your morning commute.

Todays Focus: It does not matter our age we should never stop learning. We must keep our mind fresh with knowledge to keep our mind young. – Wade Townsend II
