A life of regret, is that the way you want to live? Looking around we see more and more people living with regret. Some of them regret things that they have done, while others regret what they had not done. In each one of these cases, regret plays a crucial role; unfortunately, people are trying to ignore it.

If there is anything you should know about regret, it is the fact that it can easily be avoided. As an individual striving for success, the motivation is what drives them to correct wrong steps, decisions or turns. They are constantly living in trial and error. They are steadily correcting their plan of action to carry out their desires. It is safe to say that a lack of motivation is the direct cause of regret. Below are 5 Impactful Tips On Living Regret Free.

1. Strengthen your strengths – Take the time out of each day to strengthen your strongest attributes. Try to reach greatness in your most powerful points. This is the self proclaimed way of sharpening your sword. “Iron sharpens Iron.”

2. Comfort zone jumping – So you’re in cruise control, huh? Riding on the same road that you know to be straight, smooth, and easy. As one of my favorite sports announcers Lee Corso would say, “Not so fast my friend.” Lets take this thing off road, up and out of your comfort zone. People tend to reach places they never could imagine when going out of their comfort zone. When your backs against the wall or you are in unfamiliar territory we all can do amazing things, surprising ourselves with abilities and new limits that we never knew we had. So embrace the change and exit the slow lane.

3. Pursuing purpose – Everyday, take that small step towards your ultimate purpose. I’m not saying quit your 9 to 5, and go chase a dream without thinking it through. We are in the “REAL WORLD” and I’m not talking about any staged reality show. We do have bills to pay, and our purpose may not be the biggest money magnet business in the land. As long as it is a purpose that has to do with making money; a self-sufficient model of a business is necessary to pursue your passion and aspiratioins, that is all. With your passion, there are 24 hours in a day; you could continue to work your 9-5 gig, paying bills and servicing the community. Or, you could follow the calling of your mind and heart; attempt living life regret free.

4. Time Value – Spending your time wisely is every thing! All those striving to be successful, truly are slaves to the clock. Whether it is watching the clock count down to deadlines or watching the clock to see the money stack; stay up late and wake up early. The problem you will find is so many stay up late and wake up late. These two wrongs are not making anything right. Plan for success. There is “Separation in the preparation.” Plan to go to sleep at a decent time to get enough hours before you need to wake up. Set alarms, use planner applications, calendars, or whatever you need to utilize every ounce of your time respectively.

5. You Vs. You – Avoid self doubt. Avoid negativity in striving to be positive in all episodes of contemplating the “should, could, would’s.” Self sabotage is when you get the chance of a lifetime and you doubt yourself; negativity quickly infects the mind with your own worries, totally skewing your view of an opportunity. Self doubt often stems from comparing yourself to others and doubting your own abilities because of what someone else can do or has done. Avoid the negative battle of You Vs. You. Self-confidence is key in succeeding.
